Recovery Day Saturday December 10th

by Dover Police Charities

Are you or a loved one struggling with drug addiction? Help is available and recovery is possible. Join us on Saturday, December 10th for Strafford County Community Recover Day. Dover’s McConnell Center Cafe (30 St. Thomas St) will be filled with prevention, treatment and recovery resources from 10am to 2pm.

Come get connected to resources necessary to take the next steps towards your own recovery or to assist a loved one in getting the help they need. Recovery Coaches will be available on site to assist those looking to find resources ranging from individual/group counseling to residential treatment programs.

In addition to the resource fair there will be a variety of meetings and speakers offered throughout the event. The schedule is as follows:
• 10:00am – People in Recovery will share their personal stories of accessing treatment and finding recovery
• 11:00am – ALL Recovery Meeting
• 12:00pm – Naloxone (Narcan) training and free kits will be distributed
• 1:00pm – Family Support Group Meeting
An “Amnesty Box” will be available where attendees can anonymously dispose any illicit drugs, prescription drugs or paraphernalia with no questions asked.

This program is being coordinated by the Dover Police Department and the Dover Coalition for Youth with support from Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. For more information contact Vicki Hebert at 603-516-3279 or v.hebert@dover.nh.gov.
