Recovery Day Sat. Dec 5th
by Dover Police Charities
Are you or a loved one struggling with drug addiction? Help is available and recovery is possible. Join us on Saturday, December 5 for Strafford County Community Recover Day. The Garrison Wing at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital will be filled with prevention, treatment and recovery resources from 11am to 3pm.
Come get connected to resources necessary to take the next steps towards your own recovery or to assist a loved one in getting the help they need. Counselors will be available on site to assist those looking to find resources ranging from individual/group counseling to residential treatment programs.
In addition to the resource fair there will be a variety of meetings and trainings offered throughout the event. The schedule is as follows:
- 11am – Prevention Presentation by Chris Placy
- 12:30pm – 12 Step Recovery Meeting
- 1:30pm – Naloxone (Narcan) training and free kits will be distributed
- 2:30pm – Family Support Group Meeting
An “Amnesty Box” will be available where attendees can anonymously dispose any illicit drugs, prescription drugs or paraphernalia with no questions asked.
This program is being coordinated by the Dover Police Department and the Dover Coalition for Youth in collaboration with community resources. For more informationcontact Vicki Hebert at 603-516-3279 or v.hebert@dover.nh.gov.
